Gentilus Casimir was born on January 5, 1960 to Vertilus Casimir and Premila Gervilier in Lagonave, Haiti. Gentilus Casimir migrated to the United States in the year 1980 at the age of 18 years old. He was a permanent resident of Fort Pierce, Florida where a lot of his family members resided. Here Gentilus strived to go to school to become a citizen of the United States of America. He also had a vision for photography and majored in business management becoming a successful entrepreneur.
While living in Fort Pierce Gentilus was affiliated with Independent Haitian Assembly of God Inc., and was a musician. Outside of church Gentilus played various roles: he was an immigration agent, a transporter, a language translator, photographer, videographer, last but not least a drivers ed instructor. Gentilus was a jack of all trades and was very skilled at whatever task he had taken on. Furthermore, he was a family man and had a compassion for helping people.
In October 2017, Gentilus saw fit and later moved with his entire family to Orlando, Florida. While living in Orlando Gentilus and his family made fellowship with Leglise De Dieu Jerusalem Belle Harmonie. Thereto, he orchestrated in music and played the keyboard. Living in Orlando Gentilus was able to create a more intimate bond with his family and developed a few habits such as walking, singing, gardening, and babysitting, etc.
Gentilus leaves to mourn his passing: his wife Wilna Mirlande Casimir, a host of children, grandchildren, god-children, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, and countless sorrowing extended friends and family members. All of whom held him in the highest regard and loved him dearly.
