Obituary For Jimmie Forrest Thompson

Jimmie Forrest Thompson was born on March 18, 1956 in Fort Pierce, Florida to the late great Jimmie Lee and Juanita Thompson. He was the fourth child to be born to this union. He was strong willed, very confident and a risk taker. Jimmie had a sense of humor always having everyone laughing. Jimmie was educated in the St Lucie County School System. He later matriculated to the United States Army where he served a four-year term and was honorably discharged. Jimmie would go on to live in different states, but he would always keep in contact with his family. Having a personally struggle, he made a choice to change by joining the NA "Narcotic Anonymous" which came a door of opportunity to be the voice all over the United States. Jimmie would encourage and mentor others. Later he became ill and was unable to speak so his line of communication was by texting. Being reared in a Christen home Jimmie had a strong belief in God Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it". Jimmie moved back to Fort Pierce and resume attending Mount Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church. June 5th was the last time Jimmie would attend. The last text to his phone was "Victory".

On Monday June 6, 2022 the Lord Jesus Christ spoke to Jimmie Matthew 11:28 "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest, and God called his child home. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Lee Thompson; mother, Juanita Thompson; brother, Russell Thompson; sisters, Arlicious, Gail, Michelle and Farran.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his only child a daughter, Tisa Spires of Port St. Lucie, FL; four grandchildren, Antonio, Ronnie, J'kita, and Christopher all of Port St Lucie, FL; his beloved sister, Tangela Thompson of Atlanta, GA; one nephew, four nieces, a dedicated friend James "Spanky" Deloath, and a host of relatives and friends.

Public visitation for Jimmie Forrest Thompson will take place on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Funeral services will convene on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Greater Mount Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 11:00am. Burial will take place at a later date in the South Florida National Cemetery.
