Josephine Miles Cuthbert was born March 19, 1934 to the late Addie Miles and Rufus Miles in Beauford, SC. Josephine was a woman who was loved by all that came in contact with her, more especially her family. For over 25 years, she worked for Indian River Packing as a grader. One of her favorite things she enjoyed doing was cooking. “All closed eyes are not sleep,” was one of her favorite quotes to use.
On July 19, 2019, Josephine Cuthbert closed her eyes on this side and received her peaceful rest from the Almighty God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Wilson; and parents, Addie and Rufus Miles.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Cynthia Shaw, Linda Cuthbert, Richard Cuthbert, Calvin Cuthbert, Marilyn Stuart, and Joseph Cuthbert; siblings, Martha Gilbert, Mildred Miles, Joyce Miles, Carrie Miles, Ardnalee Greene, and Jannie Mae Gaddist; sisters-in-law, Eunice Roundtree, Evelyn R. Wright, and Annie Malik; brothers-in-law, Rev. Raford W. Roundtree and Sam L. Roundtree; 15 grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren, 3 great-great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.
Public visitation for Josephine Cuthbert will take place on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 3:00pm-5:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Funeral services will convene on Friday, July 26, 2019 also at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow in Riverview Memorial Park in Fort Pierce, FL.
