Lady LaShonda TraShell Mitchell was born on January 10, 1975, in Vero Beach, Florida to Mother, Frances Scott and Father, Lee Arthur Darden. She married the love-of-her-life, Shepherd Elder Ruben L. Mitchell on February 24, 2007 in Jacksonville, Florida. Out of their union one loving son was born and five other loving children were added.
Lady Mitchell joined Bethel Baptist Church at an early age and was baptized under Rev. William Shelton. She later joined Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Christ under the late, beloved Shepherd Elder Janie Pelt-Wright. She loved serving God, her family and her community. Even though she spent a lot of time in the hospital, when she was released to go home, she always made her way to any and every church service and really entered in worship (gave her ALL); while in the hospital, she always continued to spread the ‘Good News’ that Jesus is King. She prayed and ministered to those in need, including doctors, nurses and staff. She was known to tell doctors that God has the ‘final word’. She would let people know that ‘even if God did not heal her, she knew that He could’. Her life is her testimony.
Lady Mitchell graduated from Fort Pierce Central High in 1993. She was a student athlete in Volleyball and participated in ROTC. She attended Ft. Pierce Beauty Academy for Cosmetology. Lady Mitchell worked at Community Transit as a CDL Driver/Dispatcher; Liberty Medical Supply as a Customer Service Team Leader; Aetna as an Insurance Claim Advisor. Her life was serving people.
Lady Mitchell is survived by her husband, Elder Ruben Mitchell of Pt. St. Lucie, FL, her sons, Jabarri Mitchell (Pt. St. Lucie, FL), Jamal Queen and Brandon Mitchell (both of Ft. Pierce, FL); daughters Kathy Mitchell (Lancaster, CA), Brooke Bens (Tallahassee, FL) and Chanel Mitchell (Vero Beach, FL); Mother, Frances Scott (Pt. St. Lucie, FL); 2nd Mother Diane Darden (Ft. To the family of Lady Lashonda Tra Shell Mitchell. She was a beautiful person in an out . I work with Shonda at Liberty Medical in which we had a lot of fun being together as employees and as a friend. For the last time I spoken to Shonda was last year and we hug and greeted one another. But God saw fit to take this sweet angel and place her in his garden. Shonda I will always remember your beautiful smile and gracefulness of how you treated your friend's. Reuben always remember the good times that you both shared and the beautiful son that God bless you with. Mrs. Frances remember your baby girl that God bless you with for she bought joy to your soul.
