Lawanna Akia Hyppolite, also known as “Kia,” was born on October 28, 1990 to Previland Hyppolite and Marcia Walker at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce, FL.
Lawanna Akia Hyppolite received her basic education in Fort Pierce, FL through the schools of Saint Lucie County. She graduated from Fort Pierce Central High School with honors in June of 2009. She attended Indian River State College for two years. She was a salesperson at Goodwill for several years before starting in the field of telemarketing in April of 2016 for Maximus until her passing. Lawanna (Kia) enjoyed reading novels , watching cooking channels on tv, spending time with family and friends, planning family vacations, and having fun at family gatherings. She was a loving mother to her only son of whom she adored. She was also a loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and cousin. Kia was always happy, smiling, and loving to everyone she came in contact with. Her love and smiles will truly be missed by those who loved her.
On Tuesday, February 9, 2022, Lawanna Akia Hyppolite “Kia” was called home to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her step father, Clenton Chambers; sister, Hyppoleshia Hyppolite; grandmother, Dorothy Goodman Walker; aunt, Leschia Goodman; uncle, Terry Walker.

Public visitation for Lawanna Akia Hyppolite will take place on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Funeral services will convene on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Tabernacle Church of Deliverance in Fort Pierce, FL at 2:00pm. Burial will immediately follow in Riverview Memorial Park.
Although many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID-19 have been relaxed, we at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff.
