Obituary For Lillie Mae Mingo

Lillie Mae Mingo was born on October 18, 1942 in Columbia, Mississippi to her late parents James Earl and Beulah Watts. She received her general education in the Marion County Public Schools and was employed as a Bridge Operator for the State of Florida.

Lillie Mae moved to Fort Pierce, Florida in 1981 and became a member of St. Paul African Methodist Church, she served and attended faithfully until she could no longer attend for health reasons. She was a loving mother, and grandmother and would do anything for her family. She was loved and respected by family and friends.

Lillie was preceded in death by her parents: James Earl and Beulah Mae Watts; brother John Henry Watts; and daughter, Gwendolyn Mingo.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children: Michael (Debbie) Watts of Deltona, Florida, Brenda Watts of Dallas, Texas, Lewis Milton (Lori) Mingo of Tampa, Florida, Jane Kolette (Mike) Ingram of Fort Pierce, FL, and Shonta Mingo of Tampa, Florida; siblings, Grant Irving, Larry Watts; Earlie Mae Mallard, Emma Lee Mingo of Columbia, Mississippi and Clara Bell Holloway of New Jersey; grandchildren, Michael Jr, Shonta, Jada & Jakob Watts; Ebony, Anthony & Santana Watts; Latasha, Courtney and Whitney Mingo; Byron & Myron Anderson; Tremendus, Treasure & Trevontez Ingram; Jaquanda & Jashala Milsap, Lanaria Brown & Dalacia Fowler.

Public visitation for Lillie Mae Mingo will take place on Friday, September 25, 2020 by way of our drive-thru in the rear of Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL between the hours of 6:00pm and 8:00pm. A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 3:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL.

Although many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID 19 have been relaxed, we here at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff.
