Lily Ruth Bolden Bowe was born on March 9, 1949 to Ella Lois Dewberry and the late William Robert Bolden in Greenville, FL. Lily attended the schools of Greenville ultimately graduating from Greenville Training High School in 1968. Lily loved helping and serving people. With this passion, she held a job working in various capacities with the Saint Lucie County School Board for 40 years. While being at Chester A. Moore Elementary School, she had the honor of being chosen as “Employee of the Month.” Along with this, in her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, and arts and crafts. Lily was deeply involved in her church ministry. She participated in church outreach and catering.
On January 13, 2021 the Lord saw that His faithful servant was tired, so He summoned for her to come and receive her eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Robert Bolden; maternal and paternal grandmothers, Carrie Dewberry and Ella Wilson Bolden; brothers, Willie Robert Bolden, Jr., and Freddie Lee Bolden, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her spouse, Kenneth Bowe, Sr.; children, Yulonda(Roderick)Henderson, Vincent(Anna)Holmes, Kenya Bowe, Kenneth(Heather)Bowe, Jr.; mother, Ella Lois Bolden; grandchildren, Delacia, Michael, Roderick, Savon, Aysia, Vanessa, Benet, Jacob, Kenneth Bowe III; great grandchild, Devon Allen, Jr.; sisters, Harriette Holmes, Shirley Bolden, Joann Bolden, Geraldine Bolden, Gloria Bolden, Linda Bolden, and Gwendolyn(Keith)Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and church friends who will miss her dearly.
Public viewing for Lily Ruth Bowe will take place on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Graveside services will convene on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Pine Grove Cemetery in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 11:00am. The Graveside service will be "ATTENED BY THE IMMEDIATE FAMILY ONLY". The family request that the public view the service via the livestream.
