Mr. Lonnie Williams, 87 years old, died at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce, FL on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at 10:59 AM.
Born on March 31, 1931 in Douglas, GA, to the late Mack Williams and Beulah Hall Williams. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In March of 1985, Lonnie married Dorothy L. Knighton Virgin.
Lonnie retired in the early 90’s from the Citrus Industry. He loved the outdoors and to dress fashionably. He was well known for his bountiful gardens and well shined shoes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Beulah Hall Williams. His sons, Alonza E. Virgin and Ralph W. Virgin. His daughters, Helen D. Virgin and Elaine L. Virgin.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy K. Virgin-Williams. His sons, Lawrence (Alexis) Virgin of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Elliott Sr. (Bettie) Virgin, and Marcus Daniels of Fort Pierce, FL. His daughter, Vernita (Randy) Toombs of Fort Pierce, FL.
His grandchildren, Pamela Thomas of Tampa, FL, LaKisha Rivera of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Tekela (Gregory) Evans of Lawrenceville, GA, Olivia Howard of Deland, FL, Alicia Bheer of Gainesville, FL, Elliott (Solanlli) Virgin, Jr., Isaac Virgin, Elitesse Fanon, and Randy M. Toombs, II all of Fort Pierce, FL. Lonnie also had 16 Great Grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
A memorial service for Mr. Lonnie Williams will convene on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 4:00pm
