Mary Alice Coleman was born on January 7,1947 in Perry, Georgia to Hammie and Rosa Lee Ragin.
Mary A. Coleman known as Granny to the Grandchildren Received her education and graduated from Lincoln Park Academy. She worked many years for St.Lucie County School Board later transition to the Sheriff Department as a School Crossing Guard. Her enjoyment was cooking and spending time with family especially her grandchildren
Mary Coleman accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior, and was a lifetime faithful member of Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church, where she served under the leadership of Bishop Jonathan Ingram. She was also a member or the Church Choir,Pastor’s Aide Auxiliary and countless other functions of the church.
On early Sunday morning of August 22, 2021, the Lord called Mary Coleman one of his most precious angels home, there was a knock at the door that only she could answer for the Almighty God. She was preceded in death by her husband Alonzo Coleman Sr., parents Hammie and Rosa Lee Ragin, Brothers: Jim, Cornelius, Lawrence, Lynn Ragin , and Sisters: Fannie Mae Crenshaw, Ethel Brown, Georgia Ragin
She leaves to cherish her beautiful and precious spirit; Her daughter Tamara (Larry) Holman, Sons: Ronald (Kayan) Coleman, Daniel (Emily) Coleman, Alonzo (JoAnn) Coleman. Grandchildren: Esperenta St. Louis, Ronishia (James) Sinkler, Tiara, Zoe , Shakiera , Daniel Jr, Dakota . Great grandsons: Alijah , Jace, host of grandchildren,God-Daughter An’necia, Sisters: Flora Bell Smith, Brother: Frank Ragin. Sister-in-Laws: Blanche Ragin, Gladys Ragin Addie Ragin, Rena Ragin, Jacqueline Brown, Lois Varner, Alice Johnson Brother-in law Lewis Brown; host of nieces , nephews and other relatives that love her dearly and special friends Lillie Hall and Arthur Elmore.
Public visitation for Mary Alice Coleman will take place on Monday, August 30, 2021 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. A Celebration of her Life will convene on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 2:00pm. Burial will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.

Mary your spirit has always been sweet your voice, soft spoken but when you entered the room your presence visibly noticed!!! Your style and fashion since sense, you owned it!!! I've always admired you, wish there were more time but we understand that you had an appointment that you had to keep!!!
You got up every day of your live and lived beautifully, what a precious gift. You will live in my heart forever!!!

This one hit hard to me my Great Aunt Mary , i remember when i was a little girl and we would come down and visit every summer, you will truly be missed and i am going to miss our phone calls. Blessings and strength to the family and my grandma her sister Florabell.
