Lucille Ritter, known as Mother Ritter, was born to the late Hattie Mae Scott and Mathis Davis on December 24, 1944 in Sycamore, GA.
Mother Ritter gave her life to God as a young woman. She received the Holy Spirit with her son James Jordan, also known as, “Coolpop.” She stated that she felt her child leap in her womb! Mother Ritter served her community as a worker at MCI Electronics, Liberty Medical Center, and she took care of anyone she came across as the scripture declared, she showed true unselfish kindness. She was a true member of Apostolic Church of Jesus for at least 50 years.
On Tuesday, September 27, 2022 Mother Lucille Ritter went home to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband: O.K. Ritter; sons: James Jr. and Gilbert; granddaughter: Ariel Rivers.
Now left to carry on the torch of coming of Jesus, I leave the calling to my survivors, my children: Paula(Mike Sr.), Karen(Rick), Alexis, and Anthony; grandchildren: Shamekah, Anesha, Terri, Mike Jr.(Rhonise), Rashawn(Gabbi), Joseph Jr., Aaron, Dante; great grandchildren: Victoria, Rahmani, Razhyia, Mileena, Evan, Sheldon, Kai, Kru; sister: Alyce; sister-in-law: Alice Ritter; and a host of other family members and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.
Public visitation for Mother Lucille Ritter will take place on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Funeral services will convene on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Apostolic Church of Jesus in Vero Beach, FL beginning at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Although many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID-19 have been relaxed, we at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff. We ask that you respect this, as it could very well save your life. We also ask that you acknowledge and execute the 6 feet social distancing guidelines as well.
