Obituary For Randel Louis Adkins, Sr.

Randel Louis Adkins, Sr. was born on September 20, 1938 in Swainsboro, Georgia to the late Charley Louis Adkins and Willie Mae Brinson. He attended public schools in Emanuel County. He was employed in the Citrus Industry for Leroy Smith, Inc. as a foreman for over 40 years. On September 22, 1982, Randel and Leose Adkins were married and shared 36 wonderful years together.

Randel attended Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed many hours with his pastor, Rev. Richardson at his home. Randel was a devoted husband, loving father, and hardworking man. The people who knew him loved him and always knew he told just how it was. He loved his family, football, country and gospel music, and let’s not forget his pet chihuahua Raggae Adkins.

Randel passed away on August 22, 2019 peacefully in his home.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Leose Adkins; two sons, Randel Adkins, Jr.(Samantha), Larry Williams(Tammy); five daughters, Barbara Pearce(Voltaire), Peggy Traylor(Rodney), Rhonda Adkins, Regina Adkins(Kenya), and Christina Adkins Lattimore; nine sisters, Adline Kent Jesup, Annie Bogan Jesup, Teresa Alford(Hubert), Minnie Sweeting(Pritchard), Reva Pasley Jesup, Dorothy Baker, Lue Bertha Barton(Ned), Jessie Brinson, and Betty Douglas; two brothers, Tom Willie Smith(Allyne) and William Brinson(Queen); closest friends, Raymond Teague, Lance Kimball, Frank Johnson, Fabian Pierce, and Lemar Hamilton; 13 grandchildren, and a host of great-grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends who will miss him deeply.

Public visitation for Mr. Randel Adkins will take place on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Vero Beach, FL. A funeral service will also convene at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Vero Beach, FL on Saturday, August 31, 2019 beginning at 11:00am.
