Shawn “Pooney” Lenwood Patrick was born to Clara Patrick and Jerry Barber Sr. in Fort Pierce, Fl on February 2, 1964. He graduated from Ft. Pierce Central High School "Class of 1982". Shawn was a gregarious storyteller and life of the party. He brought a sprit of laughter and light in every space he filled.
He answered the call from his heavenly father on August 15, 2021.
He was preceded in death by: his grandparents; his father Jerry Barber Sr.; his brothers Rodney Patrick and Jerry Barber Jr. and his sister, Charla Patrick.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother Clara Patrick and his sons Shawn Lee, Shawn Patrick Jr., and Antoine Patrick; his brothers,Danny (Evelyn) Barber, Tommy Barber, Gerrit Barber, Derrick (Theraz) Barber, Quentin Patrick, Russell (Terrilyn) Hart, Fredrick (Deloris) Rogers; his sisters, Eva Barber-Parker, Denesia Barber-Walker, Tanya Barber, Apryl Gandy, and Tia Thompson, Andrea (Cecil) Robinson. His grandchildren, Steven Patrick, Jeremiah Patrick, Sha’Niyah Patrick, Tiana Jackson, Ahmad Patrick, Amaya Patrick, Shawn Patrick III, and Kingston Patrick; special friend, Judy Marrero and a host of friends and family that will miss him dearly.
Public visitation for Shawn Lenwood Patrick will take place on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. A service commemorating his life and memory will convene on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 11:00am.
Although many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID-19 have been relaxed, we at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff. We ask that you respect this, as it could very well save your life. We also ask that you acknowledge and execute the 6 feet social distancing guidelines as well.
