Verlean Pryor was born on December 26, 1939 to the late Tommie Lee Brown and Frankie Lois Garvin in Ocilla, Georgia. She received her basic education in Irwin County Public Schools. Verlean spent most of her life in Okeechobee, FL. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, fishing, gardening, and most of all, decorating her home for Christmas. Verlean was well known in the city of Okeechobee. She ran a small business, neighborhood candy lady, and being so lovely and kind, she was grandma to most of the kids. During her early years, she was a member of Morton Street Church of God. Prior to that, she was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. On December 10, 2018, Verlean was called home by the Lord.
Verlean leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Charles, Leonard (Georgia), Ernest, Barbara (James), Marilyn, Dana, Angela (Brian), Terrence of Okeechobee, 29 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, 12 great great grand children, and a host of nieces, nephews, and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.
