The book of life for Walter L. Mitchell was closed on December 25, 2020. The Lord summoned his tired soul to receive his eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Smith and Betty Mitchell; sisters, Daisy Mitchell and Lizzie Mitchell; brothers, Joe Lee and Jackie Leon Mitchell.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his sons, Walter Mitchell, Jr. of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Deonta Mitchell of Fort Pierce, FL; daughters, Wakiesha Mitchell of Savannah, Georgia, Tawanna Whitfield of Fort Pierce, FL, Shereba Whitfield of Valdosta, Georgia, Brianna Mitchell and Tanaye Mitchell both of Fort Pierce, FL; 16 grandkids; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and sorrowing friends who will miss him dearly.

Funeral services for Walter L. Mitchell will convene on Saturday, January 9, 2020 beginning at 2:30pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL.
