Obituary For William "Ned" McCutchen

William McCutchen, Sr. was born on December 5, 1937 to the late Ned McCutchen and Phoebe Gamble in a small town called Ocilla, Georgia. “Ned”, as he was called by his many family and friends, received his education in the public schools of Irwin County. Later in life, Ned moved to Fort Pierce, Florida where he met and married the former Daisy McGriff.

Ned knew the meaning of hard work. He was a well-established auto mechanic and many sought him out for their vehicle repairs. He was an untiring and dedicated worker until his retirement.

On Wednesday morning, December 29, 2021, William “Ned” McCutchen answered the call of our God Jehovah. He was preceded in death by his father, Ned McCutchen; mother, Phoebe Gamble; brother, Fred McCutchen; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters-in-law, and other family members.

William leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, Daisy McCutchen of Fort Pierce, FL; daughters, Neva (Wayne) Titus of Columbia, SC, Gloria (Carlos) Montes of Jupiter, FL, Patricia Griffith of Fort Pierce and Wanda (Jeffrey) Fields of Covington, GA; sons, William McCutchen, Jr. , MacArthur Bradley, Perry McCutchen all of Fort Pierce, FL; Cedric (Lori) McCutchen of Port St. Lucie, FL and Chavontae (Melissa) McCutchen of Fort Pierce, FL; aunt, Ruth Brown of Norman Park, GA; uncle, Heraldo Garcia of Tennessee; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Annie Mae Jones of Levittown, PA; sisters-in-law, Martha (James) Andrews, Bertha Lalemand, Janice McGriff; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends who will miss him dearly.

Although many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID-19 have been relaxed, we at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff. We ask that you respect this, as it could very well save your life. We also ask that you acknowledge and execute the 6 feet social distancing guidelines as well.
