A Time to Be Born Willie James Dorsey was born on January 5, 1938 in Americus, Georgia to the late Clarence Dorsey and Pearl Fredrick Dorsey.
A Time to Learn Willie was a resident of Fort Pierce, FL. He was extremely dedicated and a hard worker at the St. Lucie Packing House in which he retired.
A Time to Love Willie was united in Holy Matrimony to Mary Lee Dorsey. To this union they were blessed with seven children.
Willie loved his family, watching old western shows on TV, riding his Moped, going shopping, and working with people.
A Time to Serve Willie attended several churches to include Midway Road Church of Christ.
A Time to Depart On Friday, November 22, 2019, Willie left this earth to enter a place where Peace, Love, and Joy never ends.
A Time to Mourn Those left to embrace and cherish Willie’s memories are his wife, Mary Lee Dorsey of Fort Pierce, FL; sons, Calvin Barnes of Fort Pierce, FL; Clarence Dorsey of Oak Grove, Ky; Willie James Dorsey, Jr. of Orlando, FL; Jimmy Lee Dorsey (deceased); daughters, Murdice Barnes (deceased); Mary Alice Carthon of Lakeland, FL; Diann Lee Dorsey of Fort Pierce, FL; grand-kids, Anishika (Jerry) Wright, Trakesia Dorsey, Tamara Carthon, Corey Hendley, Eric Barnes, Calvin Barnes, Sierra Barnes, Terrence Barnes, Sermone Barnes, Trina Barnes; great-grand kids, Tamaya Cobb, Talesia Jackson, Steven Cobb, General Platt, Jr., Jasmine Platt, Kebly Devionish, Tyler Cobb, Da’tiyah Broome, Brylon Small, Aurean Hendley, Aubree Small.
A Visitation for Mr. Dorsey will be held on a Friday, November 29, 2019 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home from 3-7 p.m. A Funeral Service for Mr. Willie J. Dorsey will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home Chapel - Fort Pierce. Elder Jimmy Foster, Officiating. Interment will take place in Riverview Memorial Park.
That was my grandfather and he used to play catch with us after school and help us with our homework he was such a talented man
