I was sad to hear about the passing of Alan. I worked with him at NASA for about 5 years before he retired. He had a significant impact on the Agency's EAP and was respected by many. His love of orchids and shells was known by all who knew him and his having a shell named after him I'm guessing was probably one of his big accomplishments. We both shared our love of dogs and this created one of our biggest connections. My thoughts and condolences are with his family, friends, and fellow conchcologists. He is gone too soon.
The family extends special thanks to Stone Funeral Home for their invaluable assistance and guidance during this difficult time. Your professionalism and support have provided comfort during our moments of grief.
A memorial service to celebrate Alan's life will be held at Grace Methodist Church in Merritt Island, Florida, at 3:00 PM on February 16th. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a non-kill shelter in Alan's name, as a tribute to his compassionate spirit. Your contributions will be greatly appreciated in continuing the legacy of his love for both humanity and animals.
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
