It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Alfreddie Scott.
Alfreddie Bernard Scott, 75, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away, Saturday, July 11, 2026 at his home. Funeral services will be 11 AM, Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Gethsemane Primitive Baptist Church, 302 Wallis Street, Tallahassee, FL, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery.
We celebrate the life and legacy of Bishop Alfreddie Bernard Scott, D.D., D.Th., who peacefully transitioned from labor to reward on July 11, 2026.
Bishop Scott accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He enjoyed preaching, teaching, and mentoring and loved music. He impacted countless lives and inspired generations to walk by faith and trust in God's promises. His gentle spirit, infectious smile, and unwavering faith will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Bishop Scott graduated from Old Lincoln High School (Class of 1968), he graduated from Florida A&M University and later received his Theology degree from B.C. Graham Theological Seminary.
Bishop Scott was born on September 22, 1950, in Tallahassee, Florida, to the late Bishop Johnnie Scott Sr. and Mother Mary Jones Scott. He demonstrated from an early age, a deep love for God and music, and had a compassionate heart for people. He leaves to cherish his precious memories: a beloved wife, JoAnn Hughes-Scott; loving son, Carlos J. Scott; four sisters: Malinda (Dennis) Johnson, Madeline Frison, Onzella (John) Haesche, Rebecca (John) Williams, LTC Kelvin K. Scott. one Bonus Daughter: Apriel Huggins, Cherished grandchildren, Kingston and Kairo Scott, Damaria Pla, two brothers-in-law: Jerome (Evelynn) Lovett, Lester Lockett, one sister-in-Law: Rosalyn (Richard) Stephens and a host of nieces, nephews and sorrowing friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bishop Johnnie Scott Sr., and Mother Mary Jones Scott; one sister, Ruby M. Strange; three brothers, Johnnie Scott Jr., Willie James Scott, and Isaac Scott.

Add A CondolenceMy husband and I are so very sad to hear the passing of Al, what a blessing it was to always to talk to when visiting Ford, and he quickly became the number 1 salesman since. We have know Al over 10 years and anytime we need led a vehicle he would be the one i would call on. He will truly be missed and last time we were there we met his wife whom was just as pleasant and i truly enjoyed talking with her, prayer to the whole family
