Obituary For Annie Mae Austin

With hearts surrendered to God’s perfect will, we announce that Mrs. Annie Mae Austin has graciously accepted Heaven’s invitation and entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the Margaret Dozier Hospice House. She was 83 years old. Having completed her earthly journey, she now rejoices in the everlasting presence of the Lord, where pain is no more and peace is everlasting.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Saturday, September 12, 2026, at St. Mary Primitive Baptist Church, with burial at Southside Cemetery. Viewing/Visitation will be 12 Noon - 6 PM, Friday, September 11, 2026, at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters and caregivers Delores Austin-Davis and Shirley Austin Gaines; three sons: Carnell Austin, James Austin, and Tony Austin; a granddaughter which they raised, Arshan Austin; 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
