It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Betty Jean Colson.
Betty Jean Colson, 91, died Saturday, October 4, 2025.
Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Testerina P.B. Church, 5520 Miccosukee Road, with burial at Clifford Hill Cemetery.
Viewing will be from 11:00 A.M. to 6 P.M. Friday, October 10, 2025 at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.
She she survived by six daughters, Dorothy Whitaker (Crosby), Cynthia Jackson (Harold), Marilyn Terry, Elaine Lynn (Vincent),Valerine Rhodes (Obadiah) and Mary Carla Baity (Shelley); two sons, Johnny Colson and Terrell Colson; step daughter, Linda J. Mobley; bonus daughter, Joan Kilpatrick; bonus son, Elder Larry Austin (Pearlie); brother, JC Mahone; 19 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
