Dr. Osiefield Anderson, 97, died Sunday, August 10, 2025.
Dr. Anderson was a beloved (retired) Professor of Mathematics at Florida A&M University. Having taught at FAMU for over five decades from the late 1950’s to 2019, he was still teaching and tutoring students well into his 90’s. Dr. Anderson is also a retired Army Veteran who recently received the prestigious Quilt of Valor.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday August 16, 2025, at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be 12:00 (NOON), Monday, August 18, 2025, at the Tallahassee National Cemetery.
Viewing will be from 12:00 (Noon) to 6:00 P.M. Friday, August 15, 2025 at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.
Survivors include his loving son, Gregory R. Anderson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
