Obituary For Edith Hill

Edith McPherson Hill, 90, was born on January 22, 1929 in Leon county to the late Thomas Nelson Mcpherson and Lucille Washington Mcpherson.

She was the first of 21 children born to this union. She was married to the late William Hill and to this union 10 children were born.

She departed this life on May 8, 2019, at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.

Funeral service will be May 25, 2019, 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter Primitive Baptist Church, 2565 Centerville Road, Tallahassee, FL with burial at Indian Branch Cemetery.

Viewing will be Friday, May 24, 2019 from 12 noon till 7:00 P.M. at Strong & Jones.

While her parents and many siblings preceded her in death, she leaves many survivors to mourn her passing and cherish her memory, they include four daughters, Wanda Hill Akisanya of Tallahassee, Elizabeth Hill Booker, Edith Hill Williams (Joe) and Lucille Hill Kerr; and one stepson, William Hill, III; one brother, Charles McPherson (Dora), of Tampa, Florida; five sisters, Ruth Redmond, Detroit, Michigan; Catherine Monsalvatge and Leola Brown of Tampa; Mildred Davis and Mamie Rogers of Winter Haven, Florida; one aunt, Leola Franklin of Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, great children, great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
