Elder Nathaniel (Nate) (Grandpa) Nicholson, 64, of Tallahassee, went to his eternal home in Heaven on May 26, 2023. He was born on November 17, 1958, in Tallahassee, FL, the ninth child of thirteen, to parents Wisdom and Althea Nicholson.
Elder Nathaniel is survived by his wife, Audrey Diane Nicholson of 29 and half years; one son, Emanuel Nicholson (Felisha); two daughters, Aldrea Nicholson and Nicole Gordon (Anthony); two granddaughters, Jayla Gordon and MaKenzi Nicholson; five brothers, Wisdom Nicholson Jr, Gerald Nicholson, Ronald Nicholson (Vernett) , Abraham Nicholson (Ann) and Ray Nicholson (Ruby); six Sisters, Glorion Gantt, Earnestine Mckay (Wesley), Alice Robinson, Faye Lamb, Cassandra Lofton, and Rochelle Franklin (Mark);
Elder Nathaniel was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Minister Jerome Nicholson.
Elder Nathaniel was well known in the community for his 28 years coaching of young boys with the City of Tallahassee Youth Football League and his 37 years of employment with the Florida State University Health and Wellness Center. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
A homegoing service will be 11 A.M. Saturday, June 3 2023,at Jacob Chapel Baptist Church, 2333 Lake Bradford Road, Tallahassee, FL 32310 with burial at Oakland Cemetery. Viewing will be from 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. Friday, June 2, 2023 at Strong and Jones Funeral Home Inc., 629 W Brevard Street, Tallahassee FL 32304.
