With hearts surrendered to God’s perfect will, we announce that Mr. James A. Gilliam has graciously accepted Heaven’s invitation and entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 17, 2026. Having completed his earthly journey, he now rejoices in the everlasting presence of the Lord, where pain is no more and peace is everlasting.
Arrangements are incomplete.
The management and staff of Strong & Jones Funeral Home, Inc. extend our heartfelt prayers and deepest condolences to the Gilliam family. May you find comfort in the promise that those who trust in the Lord are never lost, but have simply answered His divine invitation to a home prepared for them from the foundation of the world.
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions… I go to prepare a place for you.” — John 14:1–2
