Obituary For Michael Lorenzo Roberts
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Michael Lorenzo Roberts.
Michael Lorenzo Roberts, 68, died Saturday, July 12, 2025. Born on February 19, 1957 in Tampa, Florida to the late Mary H. Jones, Rose Ella Davis and Ben Bradley.
He accepted the Lord at an early age and joined Philadelphia P.B. Church.
He was educated in the school of Leon County. He was an active participant and graduated from Amos P. Godby High School class of 1975. He then attended Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University.
He was employed with Celebration Baptist Church, where he retired. He was a part-time business owner of a cleaning service.
He is survived by a daughter, Mary Joanna Robinson of Gainesville, FL; five grandchildren, Ahsha Brown, Khamoni Wooded, Koran Wooden, Kasia Wooden and Khayla Wooden all of Gainesville, FL; four brothers, Walter Doug Whitaker (Jazzie), Ben Bradley and Billy Bradley all of Tallahassee, FL., and Yusef Hasan (Donna) of Atlanta, GA; a special niece, Tasha Henderson; a loving companion and friend, Emma Davis; and a host of other relatives and friends.

My condolences to the family!!!
Michael " Cheese" Roberts was a child hood friend and former athlete. We all grew up and played at Dade Street Community center on the northside of Tallahassee. Cheese was a Left handed Point Guard that could run an offense and play good defense. He was very steady. Cheese play High school Basketball for the late great Wilson "weevy" Holiday at Amos P. Godby High School. Cheese was fan favorite with his ball handling skills. Cheese was a constant joker, fun to be around and a great friend. cheese would give you the shirt off of his back. He is a Christian. God Bless Cheese and the Roberts, Bradley and Young families
