Tallahassee - Mother Jessie L. Jones, 76, passed on Saturday, June 12. 2021 surrounded by her family at Big Bend Hospice.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Old West Enrichment Center, 2344 Lake Bradford Road with burial at Indian Branch Pallbearer Cemetery.
Viewing will be Friday, June, 18, 2021 from 11 A.M. to 6 P.M. at Strong and Jones Funeral Home.
She was a longtime member of Mt. Horeb Primitive Baptist Church where she served on the usher board and Mother's Board.
Survivors include two sons, Extermeade Jones Jr., Tallahassee, FL, and Roger (Carolynn) Jones of Havana, FL; one daughter, Kimberly (Roderic) Jackson, Havana, FL; two sisters, Lucille Williams and Maggie Washington, of Tallahassee, FL; three brothers, DW (Charlie) Williams, Horace Williams both of Tallahassee, FL and Robert Williams, Miami, FL; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, D.W. Sr. and Elizabeth Williams and one brother, Willie James Williams.

To Jessie Children, Sibling and other family members: My sincere deepest sympathy for your loss of Jessie. She was a Sweet Woman of God and I enjoyed our times together. Jessie enjoyed attending the Lee-Weston Family Reunion with her late husband Extermeade Sr.and continue with her sister Lucy after her death in his memory.
