Cuz, sending my well wishes from Seattle WA. Don, I won't forget our bus rides and school days at Godby. One of my fondest memories of you was watching you play ball at the University of Pittsburg, one year I visited from NYC. It was against FSU and FSU lost. I was proud of you when I saw you on the field and when you went on to play pro. Now you'll be on that great field with the Lord. May God be with you and may your family be well through this time.
Your cousin, Leonard Williams

To the Family and loved ones of Don (Big Jake) Parrish, You have my deepest sympathy and know that Jake was loved by everyone who knew him here in Pittsburgh. Not only was Jake a great teammate he was an even greater person. God blessed him with the ability to bring joy into peoples lives. I remember the bus rides to the airport for away games and laughing the entire way there being entertained by Jake. When you think of big Jake it puts a Smile on your face. I spoke to Jake a few months ago and we talked about getting together soon. It truly broke my heart when I heard this news. Keep the faith until we all meet again and I pray that you all find peace soon. Jake will always be with you . God bless Jake's family . God bless Big Jake . With much love,
Jimbo Cramer and Family

For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that whoever believed in him should not die but have everlasting life. Dan you and your family has my deepest sympathy. Your former teacher, Mrs. Norton
To the Parrish,Don was always easy going and smiling. If there was anything he could do for you he would. Dan you remind me so much of your dad, easy going with a smile on your face. You were always one of my favorite students. I will never forget a softball game we were playing against Wakulla and they were beating our socks off of us. Don started cheering for Rickards girls and we were able to come back and beat them. The athletic association made a new rule where you couldn't call players by their names because Wakulla players were frightened so they said. They didn't expect us to beat them is what was frightening to them. We called it the Don rule. Please know that our Father will never leave nor forsake you. Late in the midnight hour call On Jesus when you need him.
Deepest Sympathy,
James & Christene Yant, Spring Hill, FL

"Let your light so shine....". Jake did just that. Whenever I've seen or just thought of him, all I do is smile. Todd Toerper (Pitt teammate)
To the loved ones of Don (Jake) Parrish Jr. Please accept my condolences from Charles D. Anderson & Family. Jake was always full of life and humor; there was never a monument he didn't find something to make everyone feel good about. When I think of Jake and close my eyes I see him making fun of my college nickname (Chuckycool) as a member of the University of Pittsburgh football team. RIP my brother
