Graveside service will be 10 A.M. Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Clifford Hill Cemetery, 674 Clifford Hill Road. Viewing will be 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. Friday, February 18, 2022 at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.

Survivors include, his wife of 30 years, Sharon Danzy Rivers; son, Quinton Rivers; one daughter, Shakira Rivers; eight sisters, Emily McFadden (Moses), Alma Pye, Gwendolyn Gibson (Willie), Wilma Rivers Harpool (Lee), Lillian Floyd (Booker), Margarite McMillian Roberts, Retha Baker and Verna Johnson; two brothers, Dennis Rivers (Gloria) and Alexander Rivers; mother-in-law, Hattie Ash Danzy; two grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
