Frank Thomas

Tallahassee - Frank Thomas was born January 18, 1955 in Tallahassee, FL to the late Eddie Thomas Sr and Edna Mae Frederick. Frank passed away in his sleep on January 13, 2021.

Frank attended and graduated from Leon High School. He worked for the Division of Forestry before becoming a letter carrier with the US Postal Service in 1986. He retired from the Postal Service in 2015.

Frank is preceded in death by his father, Eddie Thomas Sr.; his mother, Edna Mae Frederick; his wife, Gloria Jean Thomas; his brothers, Glenwood Thomas and Eddie Thomas Jr; and youngest son, Courtlandt Thomas.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Christopher) Crawford; his oldest son, Jon Thomas; his granddaughter, Khorian (Raina) Pace; his devoted niece, Andrea Weatherspoon; seven brothers: Johnny White, Charleston Snead, Walter Lee (Sharon) Mickens, Mac Arthur Mickens, Kenneth (Gloria) Mickens, Tommy Lee (Jeanette) Davis, and Robert (Marguerite) Davis; four sisters: Dot (Leonard) Duncanson, Jeanette (Ivy) Brinson, Ruby Dean (Wilburt) Randall and Catherine Thomas and a host of relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be 11 A.M. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Southside Cemetery. Viewing will be from 11 A.M. to 6 P.M. Friday, January 22, 2021 at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.
