Alma Sawyer Scott, 80, died Wednesday, Janaury 29, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, she will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
Alma was born in Tallahassee, Florida, where she spent her formative years before relocating to Orlando, Florida for the duration of her life. She attended Lake Hall and Lincoln High School in Leon County, Florida. Alma dedicated her life to her family and those in need, her kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on many. She took great satisfaction in offering counsel and guidance to those whose lives she touched. Alma had a passion for cooking, gardening, and reading scriptures, which brought joy to her life and those around her.
She is survived by her children, Debbie Lee, Calvin Scott, Christina Jackson, and Sandra Scott; daughter-in-law, Nicki Scott; sons-in-law, Eric Jackson and Anton Floyd; 11 grandchildren, Calvin Scott, Nicholas Scott, Angelina Scott, Damian Scott, Emmalee Scott, Jada Martin, Isaiah Bristol, Sarai Jackson, Amari Floyd, Azyah Floyd, and Asjia Floyd; one great grandchild, Keita Scott; one sister, Rosella Gilliam; and a host of extended family and close friends.
She was predeceased in death by her beloved husband, Roland Scott; parents, Estelle and Wiley Sawyer; siblings, Refair Green and Roosevelt Sawyer Sr.
Graveside service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Lake Hall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Scott Family in her honor. Cash app: $TinaJackson1983
