Charlie Mae Dennis, 85, departed from this earthly life on September 11, 2022, surrounded by family. She was born on October 8, 1936, in Wakulla County, Florida to Nellie Mae Simmons and Charles Walker. Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Saturday, September 17, 2022, at St. Mary P.B. Church, 655 West Georgia Street, Tallahassee, FL. with burial at Oakland Cemetery. Due to COVID restrictions, masks are required. Viewing -Visitation will be from 11 A.M. to 6 P.M. Friday, September 16, 2022, at Strong and Jones Funeral Home. She is survived by her five children, Alfred Dennis (Vi), Jennifer Byrd (Allen), Janice Peterson, Ronald Walker and Wardell Peterson (Cynthia), one brother, Walter Lee Walker; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
