It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Clara Houston Jefferson
Clara Houston Jefferson, 69, of Tallahassee, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024. A Celebration of Life service is planned for 11 AM, Friday, August 23, 2024 at Old West Enrichment Center. Interment will be 10 AM Sharp, Monday, August 26, 2024, at the Tallahassee National Cemetery. Viewing/Visitation will be Thursday, August 22 from 1PM-6PM at Strong & Jones Funeral Home
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Silas Jefferson; daughters, Khalilah Jefferson-Ford (Jeffery) and Jamil (Keyona) Jefferson-Brown (Demetrice); mother, Alice Houston. Siblings: Eddie Houston (Sydell); Elijah Houston (Althea); James “JT” Houston (Gloria); Michael Houston (Debra); Glover Houston (Jackie); Everline McGhee (Samuel); Beverly Mordica, one granddaughter, Ariyah Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
