Tallahassee - Cora Lee Forbes Singleton transitioned Saturday, May 8, 2021.
Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 17, 2021, at Strong & Jones Chapel with burial at the Tallahassee National Cemetery. Viewing will be from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.
Mrs. Singleton is of the Primitive Baptist Faith. She surrendered her life to Christ in June, 1974, where she joined St. Phillip P.B. Church.
Her precious love and memories will be cherished forever by her three sons: Henry (Sherry) Singleton Jr., Gregory Leon Singleton and Morris Eugene (Melinda) Singleton; six grandchildren: Patrick E. Singleton, Domitric Hawkins, Chadrick C. Singleton, Melanie (Jae) Nickeo, Garrett Ponder and Krystal Singleton; 18 great grandchildren; 5 sisters: Jennie Lee Forbes Hundley, Thelma Forbes Patterson, Ethel (James) Clerf, Ann Forbes-Jones and Betty Forbes Rhodes; 3 brothers: Joe Louis Forbes, Walter Edge (Carol) Forbes and Harold Lee (Delia) Forbes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

To the Forbes/Singleton families' You all will FOREVER hold a very special place in my heart. I will never forget Cora scolding me about being shy and timid, especially when it came to eating. Her words, " You can't keep eating like a baby bird if you want to fly like an eagle"! Thank you Cora, I eat everything in sight now and I STILL weigh pretty much the same but everyday that God gives me breath..... I SOAR!! Forever love, Denise Vickers-Leon

Cousin Cora I know you are in a better place now but I wish I'd had the opportunity to spend time and got to know you more in the past. Your aunt who was my mom late Ethel Lee Brooks often spoke of the Nash and Forbes families when I was growing up. I've had the pleasure of meeting some of the Forbes family growing up over the years and keep in touch with them from time to time.
