Mrs. Mildred J. Davis, passed away at the age of 98, on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a Deaconess and as a member of the Sunday School Ministry.
Mrs. Davis is survived by seven children, Zeleder Barnes, Biloxi, MS; Carolyn Cummings, Tallahassee; Knollie (Lueverta) Davis, Houston, TX; George (Dena) Davis, Riverside, CA; Marilyn (Eric) Fournier, Knoxville, TN; Joscelyn (Rev. James) Darby, Houston, TX; and Bettye “Nikie” Lindsey of Tallahassee; 23 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and many other relatives and friends.
Homegoing Service will be 12 (noon) Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 224 N. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Tallahassee, FL, with Rev. Dr. R.B. Holmes, Jr., officiating. Viewing will be from 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.
A graveside service and burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the City of Biloxi Cemetery, located at 1166 Irish Hill Drive, Biloxi, Mississippi.
