Tallahassee - Susie A. Ray 87, died Monday, January 4, 2021. Graveside service will be 2 P.M. Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the Tallahassee National Cemetery. Viewing will be Monday, January 11, 2021 and Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 12 Noon to 6 P.M. Wake service will be Monday, January 11, 2021 from 5 P.M. to 6 P.M.
She was a member of St. Phillip A.M.E. Church, where she served as a stewardess and the kitchen aide committee. She was a graduate of Old Lincoln High School and received her cosmetology certification from the Florida A&M University Manpower program.
Survivors include one son, Tyrone Ray (Barbara); two sisters, Emily A. James (Wilson "Pete") and Dorothy A. McPherson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Ray; a daughter, Tawanna Ray and a grandson, Austin Kyle Willacy Ray.
