It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Otis Footman Hayes.
Otis Footman Hayes, 72, died Sunday, November 2, 2025.
Otis Footman Hayes was born on January 23, 1953 to the late Charlie Sr. and Sallie Floyd Hayes. He was employed at Florida A&M University in the grounds department.
Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Mt. Zion P.B. Church @ Dawkins Pond, 11014 Thomasville Road. With burial at the Church Cemetery.
Viewing will be from 12:00 (Noon) to 6:00 P.M. Friday, November 14, 2025 at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pinkey Hayes; ten siblings, Ollie Walthall, Dorothy Bryant, Charlie Hayes Jr., Cynthia Norris, Samuel Hayes, Brenda Hayes, Margaret Hayes, Elouise Dickey, Willie C. Hayes, Herman E. Hayes (Joretha); five step children, Elder Charles (Natasha) Wilkins, Shelia Glenn, Lortta Hall (Donald), Diane Lynn and Juanice (Wallace) Jones; five sisters-in-laws, Clara Hayes, Emma Lynn, Annie Jones, Patsy Wilkins and Nellie Williams; one brother-in-law, Amos Wilkins (Rethea); and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Felicia Hayes and Tamika Hayes; one grandson, Authur Jones Jr.; six siblings, John (L.J.), Curtis, Dennia, Lillie Ruth, Ethel and Ruther Lee; god son, Jimmy L. Jones Jr.;
