It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rev. Chester Lee Brown.

Reverend Chester Brown, 78, an retired correctional officer for the Florida Department of Corrections and a retired pastor of Concord A.M.E. Church, died Sunday May 10, 2026.

Funeral Service will be Saturday May 16, 2026 at 11:00AM at the Old West Florida Enrichment Center with burial at Tallahassee Memory Gardens.

Viewing will be from 12:00 (Noon) to 6 P.M. Friday, May 15, 2026 at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.

Survivors include his daughter, Ylonda Y Brown; son, Yakari Y Brown; three grandchildren, Montavius O Williams, Whitney L Williams, and Ayhana Brown; five great grandchildren, Melanie M Downer, Saint Thomas, Alana R Williams, Amirah Francis, and Malakhi I Downer; and a host of other relatives and friends.
