Obituary For Russell D. Edwards
With hearts surrendered to God’s perfect will, we announce that Mr. Russell D. Edwards has graciously accepted Heaven’s invitation and entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 9, 2026. Having completed his earthly journey, he now rejoices in the everlasting presence of the Lord, where pain is no more and peace is everlasting.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Wake service will be 6-8 PM, Wednesday, October 21 at Strong & Jones Chapel.

Linda, our prayers and condolences are with you! When we first met Russell, we knew he was a genuine, caring, and fun person. We will never forget how you and Russell took care of Ebony while she was at FAMU! Russell took care of all of her auto repairs and so much more. He loved her as if she was his own daughter. He will certainly be missed. We love you Linda!
