Obituary For Shelton Brown
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Shelton Bernard Brown.
Shelton Bernard Brown passed away March 3, 2026. A lifelong resident of Leon County, he attended Lincoln High School for three years and graduated from FAMU DRS in 2001. He was employed with AAA Service Plus as a tow truck driver and former bus driver for Leon County Schools additionally; he was the owner/operator of TLB Ground Services. Shelton was an avid Miami Hurricanes fan, he could be spotted riding around town during football season in his camp Toyota Tundra covered with Miami flags. He was known in the community for his Annual Thomas L. Brown Bike Drive during the Christmas Holiday, delivering bikes to children who attend Title I Schools of Leon County.
Shelton leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Tahyesha Brown; his sons, Shawn Johnson Brown, King Cole Brown and Treveon Pinto Brown; devoted mother, Shirley Jackson Brown; brothers, Charles Brown, Jr. and Terry Brown; sisters, Tammy Brown Williams (Kere) and Tasha Walker; bonus Siblings, Sha’ Rhonda Brown and Eric Brown; bonus mom, Sandra Brown Tillman; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is predeceased in death by his dad, Thomas L. Brown, sister, Angela Brown and god sister, Connie Yancey.
The Celebration of Life services will be held March 14th at Bethel AME Church at 501 W. Orange Avenue at 11:00 am with burial immediately following at Tallahassee Memory Garden.
Visitation will be from noon until 6:00 pm Friday, March 13th at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.
