My thoughts of Spencer T. Bruce, like many of us started in Tallahassee, Florida. Bruce and his red VW Bug was well known in town. After leaving college in 1976, I joined the military and out path crossed again in Ft. Knox, Kentucky. I remember us meeting in the park on post in our bugs, which was a Tallahassee Florida line of passage. The bugs would have a lot of people talking to us about the bugs, then Tallahassee and FAMU. The thing that I recall the most is when I had ten years in the service and was thinking very hard getting out of the service. Captain Spencer Bruce talked me into reinlisting and He at read the oath of enlistment at the crossroad getting out or staying in a finished up my military career of 22 years. The funny part is that after he talked me into staying in the service. When I went by his unit to talk with him, I found out that he had ended his time in the service. I really appreciate him for giving me outstanding advice to stay in the military. Our families got along very well and visit one another on a regular basis. Much love for Captain Bruce and his entire family.
My prayers to the family at this time, along with my thoughts. May the Lord give you the peace and strength to get through this difficult time!
My deepest blessing to the family. May God continue to bless you and keep you in his Spirits, you will be in my Prayers. Rest Bubba, Job well done.
