I am just learning about Ms. Wade's passing this year. I remember her being very kind and dedicated to her job and students. She was always friendly towards me and always greeted me with her dazzling smile. To her family, may God's loving arms embrace you and give you a sense of peace and I pray for your healing from your loss. - Sabrina Butler

SHE ALWAYS HAD A BIG BEAUTIFUL SMILE.ALWAYS WERE KIND AND A SWEET PERSON.FAMU EMPLOYEE DEBRA MAYO.

To GOD be HIS Glory for Sister Vernese's story. Remembering Ms. Wade in the Foote-Hilyer Administration Center at FAMU, always with the most pleasant disposition and ready-smile to light up the hallway and the Registrar's Office, immediately reminds me of God's Faithfulness! The patience and assistance she shared with students and instructors of record (like me) consistently displayed "Excellence With Caring!" God's Word is true and can be trusted: "After you've suffered for a while, then shall you be established." ~~1 Peter 5:10 Queen Vernese Arnetta Wade--continue to rest in peace and power, until we meet again...

Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of Vernese. She was such a pleasure to work with. She was always kind and extremely helpful to students and staff alike. I enjoyed working with her and always knew she would do everything possible to help. I pray that the Holy Spirit rests with the family to provide comfort during this time. Sincerely, Phyllis Watson

An amazing human being and a gift to students. I will never forget the help she provided me.

Eileen, you have my sincere condolences. I know how close the two of you were. I pray God will give you the strength to endure during this difficult and sorrowful time. Brenda Mason

I had the privilege of working alongside Ms. Wade in the Registrars Office for many years before her retirement. Her warm demeanor and genuine love for engaging with students, staff, and faculty truly made a difference. She brought kindness and compassion to everyone she encountered, and her presence will be greatly missed.

Vernese and I were roommates our freshman year at Florida A&M University. I had arrived from New Jersey a few days before registration and I did not have a roommate. My mom and Vernese's mom were talking to each other as Vernese and I stood in line to register. Since we both did not have a roommate, we agreed to room together for our freshman year that day. I remember her as a sweet, kind and joyful person. We lost touch after freshman year but I have often thought of her throughout the years. I was saddened to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.

My deepest condolences to the love one's of Ms. Wade. I will never forget the warm smile and the helping hand Ms. Wade extended to me as a FAMU student many years ago, about 24 years to be more precise. Ms. Wade displayed excellent with caring as she assisted me with registering for my classes. Since that day I started stopping by Foote Hilyer Admin building to say hello to Ms. Wade, and I recall her calling me doctor before I ever knew that I would someday obtain my PhD. ☺️ At that time, I was simply trying to matriculate through my bachelor degree program...

Rest in Peace Ms. Wade! May fond memories continue to live on forever in the hearts of all of the students who lives you have blessed with your good works.
