Mary Brown a strong and courageous woman of God. She loved people. She visited Lattice every Sunday bringing her meals and taking her to her appointments. She would call me to see what we could do to make life comfortable for Lattice. Mary was in my computer class I taught at the Garland Senior Center. She would tell me there Is certain things she wanted to do and after she learned those things that were enough for her. I didn't know she had gone to glory. But she has been very supportive in so many ways in my life. Truly she is a friend and cousin that will be greatly missed. My condolences to the family.
We share in the loss of your loved one and our dear friend. Such a beautiful example of love, energy, and devotion. Mary Spearman Brown was known as the Big Kid, someone who was always young at heart, never afraid of challenges, believed she could do anything, and encouraged others to do the same. She was a flower that was always in full bloom and every petal told a story. A tireless missionary, caregiver, mentor, leader, friend, community supporter, full of intellect, wisdom, and most of all, humility. One of her favorite sayings "I'm hopping but I'm not stopping. It is befitting that Mary Spearman Brown, the Big Kid, is now where she will never grow old. Ora Jackson and Family

My condolences to the family of Mary Spearman Brown. I am so sorry for your loss. Mary was a sweet, kind, humble, compassionate, loving, caring and God-fearing lady. She loved her family. She would gladly share and help others. She had a heart of gold. She was a bold and courageous lady. I recall how she drove to UNCW with her sister Lila West to attend my daughter, Chiaki Williams' graduation. This was in 2014, at the age of 89. She was fearless when it came to driving in all that traffic. My daughter and I admired, respected and loved her dearly. She will be missed by many. Rest In Heavenly Peace my friend.
