Mrs. Adrienne Lynette Moore- Jones, 63, of Phenix City, AL passed Tuesday, March 22, 2022 in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m EST, Thursday, March 31, 2022 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Green Wheeler Moore, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Phenix City, AL. Visitation is Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 1-5 p.m. EST.
Adrienne Lynette Jones was born in Chicago, IL on November 7, 1958, to the late Abraham Jesse Moore and Ruth Hazelene (Burnette) Moore.
Adrienne graduated from Chicago Vocational High School (CVS) in 1976, thereafter she enlisted in the United States Army and served three years. While serving in the military she met and married Billy Jones and to this union they were blessed with two children, LaShelle Jones and Billy Jones, Jr.
Adrienne worked as a Financial Analyst for the Department of Defense for 35 years. During her years of service, she obtained her Bachelors degree and then completed her Master’s degree in Finance from Troy State University. In May of 2015 she retired and received a Commemorative Plaque from President Barack Obama for her years of diligent service.
Adrienne was a loving, caring and giving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed listening to music, dancing, bowling, shopping, helping others and time with her friends. Spending time with her family was what she enjoyed most and one of the most important aspects of her life.
Adrienne is preceded in death by her parents, Abraham and Ruth Moore; brother, Reginald Moore; sisters-in-law, JoAnne Ellis and Priscilla Moore; nephews, Marcel Moore and Darius Stinson.
She leaves to mourn her husband, Billy Jones; children, Billy (Meghan) Jones, Jr. and LaShelle Jones; three grandchildren, Haleigh, Aubree and Billy III (Trey); siblings, Wilfred Moore, Jesse Moore, Brenda (Reggie) Moore, Margo (Robert) Prytz, Darren Moore, Sheree (Kevin) Tolbert, Kimberly Moore, Cherilyn Doss, Michelle Moore, Keith (Tracy) Moore, Kenneth (Shauntoka) Moore and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
