Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Phenix City, AL with Pastor Noble D. Williams, officiating. Interment in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL. Public visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
With deep sorrow yet steadfast faith, the family of Allegra Beloyd Rose, 60, of Phenix City, Alabama announces her peaceful transition into the eternal presence of our Lord and Savior on January 19, 2026. Born on July 9, 1965, to her belated parents, Charles Thomas Muphy and Sadie Marie Murphy, in Riverside California. She confessed Christ at an early age and lived a life grounded in compassion, humility, and unwavering belief in God’s promises.
Allegra was honorable discharged from the United States Army after 8 years of service and continued her journey in education. She received her Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science and Master of Science in Applied Computer Science at Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia. Allegra spent 20+ years working for the federal government which included working as a Computer Programmer for Total Systems (TSYS) in Columbu, Georgia, Computer Security specialist at the Veterans Affairs (VA) office in Tuskegee,Alabama, as well as working for Fort Mitchell National Cemetery (Fort Mitchell, Alabama). For the past 6 years, Allegra was currently working for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia where she served as the lead Drug Coordinator. Allegra, her husband, and son (Chris) started DaRose Transport LLC in 2021.
Allegra met her soul mate and love of her life Gregory S. Rose in 1988 in Phenix City, Alabama where they quickly became attached to one another. They soon married and happily celebrated their 38th anniversary of marriage this month. When not working, Allegra had a flair for culinary creativity and loved to try new healthy recipes to gratify her family. She enjoyed hosting dinners for her extended family and cherished her two grandchildren. Her greatest joy came from shopping for and spending time with Chris, Alora and Gabriel.
Allegra leaves behind her beloved husband, Gregory Rose, one son, Christian M. Rose, Christiana Hall; two loving grandchildren, Alora Rose, and Gabriel Rose; two older brothers, Charles Murphy and Anthony Murphy of Moreno Valley, California, two older sisters, Angela Jackson, Austin Texas, Patricia Hughes, Riverside, California; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends and acquaintances who all will miss her tremendously. Allegra never complained or asked, ‘why me’ but rather ‘why not me’. She was a soldier who endured to the end – ‘In God’s Hands’.

I am so sorry to hear of Allegra's passing. Greg and Chris you are always in my thoughts and prayers. She was so positive and kind. Prayers of comfort.
I met Allegra while working at the VA. I invited her to an event and soon after discovered she lived right down the street from me. From that moment on, Allegra and I—and our husbands—just clicked. We've been spending time together ever since, and those moments will always be special to me.
Allegra was such a genuine, sweet soul. I truly admired her as a wife and as a mother—her love for her family was so evident in everything she did. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. 💕

Allegra was a vital part of the CDC Personnel Security Branch. She played a significant role in us as the first drug team coordinator. We had many conversations and I saw her enhance many personnel at CDC and beyond. I pray god's blessings upon Chris and her entire family. Blessing to you Young Squire!
