Obituary For Allen Dixon

Mr. Allen Dixon, 84, of Phenix City, AL passed Saturday, December 24, 2022 in Phenix City, AL.

Funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. EST, Saturday, January 7, 2023 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Minister Joseph Jones, officiating. Interment to follow in Edmond Cemetery, Phenix City, AL. Visitation is Friday, January 6, 2023 from 2-5 p.m.

Mr. Allen Dixon was born on May 17, 1938 to the late Thomas Dixon, Sr. and the late Mary Jackson Dixon.

He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age at Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Allen was a diligent worker to serve and help others. He dedicated over 30 years with Jason's Carry Out. After he retired, he spent his personal time enjoying the fruits of his labor. He will be remembered for his loving smile and calm spirit.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Dixon, Sr. and Mary Jackson Dixon; two sons; five brothers, Thomas Dixon, Jr., Joseph "Jay Bird" Dixon, Andy Dixon, Charlie Dixon and Walter Dixon and sisters, Willie Lee Jones and Fannie Dixon-Caldwell.

Allen leaves to celebrate and cherish his memories to; four sisters, Julia M. Lawrence, Josephine Allen and Mable Dixon all of Indianapolis, Indiana, Dorothy Mayle of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, David L. Dixon of Fairburn, Georgia and Roy Dixon of El Paso, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends whom he loved dearly and will be missed tremendously by all.
