Alvin Hood, 73, passed on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 in Opelika, AL.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST on Saturday, February 1, 2025 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Desi Morgan Sr. officiating.
Alvin Hood was born on April 1st, 1951 in Crawford, Alabama. He retired from Alagasco after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Sr. and Kelvy Hood. his wife, Rita Hood; his sister Bertha Allen; and his brothers Woodrow Hood Jr. and Jimmy Hood.
He was a loving father of two daughters Katena Dyser (Jermaine) and Jessica Hood; seven grandchildren, Justin Hood (Rebecca) Dalton, Jordan, Jaden, Dylan, and Kaden Dyser, Keith Hood; three sisters, Sarah Hood, Ozell Hood, Dorothy Dixon; and sister-in-law Dyanne Hood ; and a host of nieces,nephews,friends.
