Mr. Anthony Sumbry, 44, of Ft. Mitchell, AL passed Friday, October 22, 2021 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be 12:00 noon EST, Friday, October 29, 2021 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Otis Robinson, officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery, Columbus, GA. Visitation will be Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 3-5 p.m. EST.
Anthony Sumbry was born June 25, 1977 to Eula Sumbry and the late Richard Sumbry, Sr.
He married LaShondra Teal Sumbry on April 4, 2014. Together they raised two boys and owned a small catering company, SWEET Encounter Catering.
He became a member of Foundation Point Church in Phenix City, AL in 2011 and was later ordained as a Deacon August 5, 2018. He was an employee of TSYS Global Payments for over 15 years.
Anthony was a loving, devoted husband, father, son and brother. He cherished every moment with his family~from family game nights, family vacations, calling his mom with made up stories, getting ice cream with his sons every Sunday after church and more.
On October 22, 2021 Anthony was called to his Heavenly home. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Sumbry, Sr.; sister, Charisma Sumbry; grandmother, Nellie Sumbry and grandfather, Arthur Lee Sumbry, II.
He leaves to cherish his memories; wife, LaShondra Sumbry; two sons, Jeremiah Sumbry and Josiah Sumbry; mother, Eula Sumbry; four brothers, Derrick Lyles, Curtis (Angela) Preer, Ronnie Preer and Richard Sumbry, Jr.; sister, Tanya Cain; mother and father-in-law; Sandra (Jackie) Nickerson and host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
