Mr. Ardese Day Sr., 62, of Columbus, GA passed Saturday, May 3, 2025 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Coolspring Baptist Church with Rev. Fritzthadus Mack, Pastor, Pastor Roy Jones, officiating, and Rev. Pryce Battle, Eulogist. Burial in Evening Sunset Cemetery. Public viewing is 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, May 10, 2025.
Mr. Ardese “Debo” Day, Sr., was born March 17, 1963, in Pittsview, AL to the late Earkus Lee Battle and Lillian Day. Ardese graduated from Baker High School in 1980 and was employed with L & S Services at Ft. Benning, GA. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and joined the Cool Springs Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a faithful usher.
Ardese was a very loving, kind and friendly person that never met a stranger. He was a devoted and protective son, father, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earkus Battle, Sr., brother, Earkus Battle, Jr., and sister, Emma Battle.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted mother, Lillian Day; five sons, Ardese Day, Jr., Arkese Joseph Day, Artese Robert Day, Arvese Day and Jerome Allen; daughter, Sonya Davis; seven brothers, Demitrus Browder, Chance Battle, Rev. Pryce (Vanessa) Battle, Sr., Eddie (Tracy) Jones, Rev. Roy (Cynthia) Jones, Mario Paige and DeWayne (Audrey) Jones; three sisters, Margaret (Marcus) Grant, Stacy Jones and Vicktory (Mere) Eichelberger; granddaughter that he spent some of his last hours with, Ardeja Day, seven other grandchildren; stepmother, Shirley Browder;uncle, Eddie (Tiffany) Day; four aunts, Cora Wilson, Bessie Brown, Lonnie Battle and Georgia Battle; wife, Sandra Allen; god brother, Anthony (Tracey) Hubbard; a devoted, loving and caring friend, Ringenia Taylor; a host of loving nieces, nephews, loving cousins, other relatives and friends.
