So many good memories. I will always thank God for the things I learn under his tutelage. May Brother Lawrence finally find peace with our loving creator. With love from Brother Anthony Ezell.

I remember Arthur growing up in Tuskegee Institute AL as a soft spoken. caring and gentle soul. I had not seen Arthur since our days as students at Tuskegee Institute now Tuskegee University but I have great memories of my homeboy and friend. I wish peace for him and his family. John L. Stewart, Jr.

Berthenia Smith and Family

I first met Brother Arthur Lawrence when he was assigned as my case worker. As soon as he learned a little bit about my plight, he offered to pray for me. He was truly a spiritual mentor and never hesitated to pray for anyone or any situation. Bro. Lawrence has left behind a spiritual legacy that anyone who knew him will be honored to carry forward.

My condolences is with the family. I met Mr Lawrence hear and there, a few times through the years. I never could remember his name but I never forget his face. May he rest until Jesus calls his lamb to come home, then we will see our loved ones again in the new Heaven. God bless the family may he Grant peace at this difficult time my prayers are with the family. Sharon Davis.

Bro. Lawrence was indeed an inspiration to the Ayers' family during one of the most challenging moments in our lives. He encouraged us to claim the power of the word of God through the scriptures.

I remember working with Mr. Lawrence when we partnered working with individuals and families during the "Welfare to Work" initiative in early 2000s'. Mr. Lawrence was a great resource and was always willing to go the extra miles for those he worked with. After that time; whenever I would run into him at Wal-Mart, we would catch up as if it was in the earlier days. What a true warrior!

Respectfully, Deneen Thornton-Hill.

Praying for God's grace to cover your family during this hour

"How the mighty have fallen in the midst of the battle!" My condolences to the Lawrence family. Brother Lawrence will be missed, but that great getting up morning is coming. "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God,..." and call Brother Lawrence by name and resurrect him to be with Him forever. "How the mighty have fallen in the midst of the battle!" Pastor Jimmy L. Atkins, Jr.

I will remember Bro. Lawrence for bringing me and my family especially my mom to the seventh day adventist faith. He had a laid back way of telling/teaching you about god, a great teacher of the word of god, a true believer that made you a believer as well, he never missed an opportunity to spread the love of god, my mom asked him before she died to always remember us her children. to always look out for us spiritually and he did. I loved to hear him speak, preach, sing, play his drums. That smile and laughter was always there, he never spoke hard of anyone, he made it his business to help my family with dealing with my son Andy and my brother Willie while they were incarcerated, even attended a parole hearing with us,I will truly miss him, along with everyone that knew him. May you rest in peace brother Lawrence, if i know you, you probably running around shouting, praying, singing up in heaven. with much love/sympathy to your family. Love Debra Horace Battle Jackson and family

I will remember his deep passion for serving God,helping others and his love for music.

My memory of him is his vibrant laugh, excellent memory and his gift of hospitality. He was also charismatic and if we knew that he was speaking, We wanted to be there. He understood the Word and was a gifted teacher, preacher and drummer. He was also a good story teller. My husband remembers him going through various channels to help him secure employment. He spoke up and out for those who needed him.

I personally will always hold dear to my heart the kind words of encouragement he would always share. I will also remember how he brought the added sound to our praise and worship and our musical selections when he played with us. It was truly a blessing to know him. We love you all and we will continue to lift you up in prayer.
