Attorney Walter Lewis Fortson

I met Walter in Paris in 1980 - a year or so later I stayed with him in his apartment on Peachtree in Atlanta when I was travelling the US from my home in England . He was was generous, kind and gentlemanly - and showed me the sights and culture of black Atlanta at that time . I remember an amazing Labor Day cookout in a park - I was in touch with him by Christmas cards for years ...I decided to look for him on the internet and found this sad news of his death. Condolences to all his family and friends .
